Signs a Girl Is Attracted To You

Eyes:

  • Looks at you when you look away, then turns away when you look back.
  • Holds eye contact and smiles at you.
  • She gives you the doggy dinner bowl eyes.
  • She watches you on the dancefloor.
  • She has dilated pupils in a lit environment.
  • If you catch eye contact with someone, and they look away but look towards you again shortly – she is checking you out.
  • When she says or does something, she looks at you to see your reaction.
  • She looks at you from the side, to hide the fact that she’s looking.

Words:

  • She asks you for a light, or the time, or in any way initiates a conversation.
  • Expressing thirst. A girl almost never talks about wanting a one night stand to a guy unless she wants to with him.
    • “I’m so horny!”
    • “I need to get laid tonight”
    • “It’s been so long”
    • “I’ve never fucked in [location you’re both in now].”
  • Compliments
    • “Hey, I like your shirt.” If she stays to chat? Talk to her and get her number. It’s a common piece of dating advice in women’s magazines to say something like that to guys.
  • Friendly Inquisition” – her friend(s) ask what you think of her. She sent them as spies.
    • “What do you think of [girl’s name]?”
    • “Is she your type?”
    • “Would you go out with her?”
  • She preemptively mentions being single or she’s alone (like at an event). Or that she has broken up with her boyfriend. Especially if it’s a girl you’re not very close friends with, and she mentions the fact she broke up and is looking for someone new, by God make a move!
  • She brings up a movie she wants to see, a bar or restaurant she wants to check out, a party that’s happening, etc. Especially if she says, “But I have no one to go with” while looking at you. She wants you to ask her out on a date to that thing.
  • Self-invites
    • “When are you gonna take me for a spin in your car?”
    • “When are we going to watch that TV show at your place?”
    • You tell her about a cool place you went to, and she says, “You should take me there!”
  • She initiates contact with you or she tries to end silence; ex- “so…”
  • Married women talks incessantly to you, yet never mentions the husband
  • Asks you if you’re leaving when you put something away or put on your gloves, etc.
  • Third Party Endorsement: When she expresses what she wants as if it was the opinion of other people.
    • “My friends think we would make a cute couple.”
    • “My Mom asked if you’re my boyfriend yet ‘cuz we hang out together so much.” “Since we’re alone together in your room, the other people at the party probably think we’re hooking up right now.”
  • Hypothetical: “There’s this girl that likes a guy but she doesn’t know if he likes her.” She’s the girl. You’re the guy.
  • Complain about guys hitting on her. She’s letting you know she’s “in demand”. What she means is, “I don’t like it when other guys do it, but it’s okay for you because I like you.” This backfires, because the guy will assume the girl doesn’t want him to make a move too.
  • She says she used to have a crush on you. If she’s single, she could be hinting she still has a crush and you should ask her out. He gets hung up on how she used the past tense, and treats it as her saying, “I’m not interested in you now.”
  • If you’re talking to a cashier and she tells you for any reason when she gets off work, she wants you to come back.
  • She opens the conversation by playfully insulting you. It’s the female approach to giving a man a compliment, passive aggressively, and couched as an insult. She’s letting you know you have desirable qualities.
    • “Oh you’re a player aren’t you?”
    • “Oh you want me to go home with you? You sure you don’t have other girls there already?”
  • If a girl asks about your relationship status out of the blue, she is interested. Alternatively she mentions your girlfriend without knowing if you actually have one, to see if you’ll correct her.
  • If a girl says she “needs to talk to you”, but then it ends up being something really stupid like “I don’t know what color to dye my hair”, then she probably chickened out of telling you she likes you.
  • She starts talking about “how well you two get along”
  • A girl who keeps beating herself up on her looks, not only is she fishing for a compliment, she’s fishing for YOUR compliment. Though this usually means she’s interested in you, she could just be looking for attention. If she does it often to multiple people, it’s probably the latter.
  • In most contexts, if a girl asks you how her outfit looks, she wants you to check her out. She is interested in you.
  • If a girl talks about how long she spent getting ready and then asks your opinion on how she looks, she did it to impress you. (If she does this when you and her had specifically made plans to hang out, it’s even more explicit. Exceptions to this rule are weddings, parties, etc. etc.)
  • She qualifies herself for you.
    • If you ask how old she is and she says “18” and you say “that’s soo young, I’m 22” – if she says “that’s not that big of a difference!” – she is qualifying herself to you

Touching

  • Her legs become intertwined with yours.
  • She grabs your crotch or ass.
  • She puts her hand on your leg.
  • Hugging.
  • Sitting on your lap.
  • Holds your hand.
  • Puts your arm around her.
  • Pulls you onto the dance floor (and dances close).
  • Asks “Have you been working out?” and feeling your biceps or abs.
  • Massages and backrubs .
  • She starts play fighting.
  • She invites you to touch her. “I just used a new razor to shave my legs and they’re so smooth. Come and feel!”
  • When sitting next to you her leg touches yours.

Preening & self-touching:

  • She plays with her hair while talking to you.
  • Licks her lips when talking to you.
  • If a woman is playing with their ears while talking to you, that is an erogenous zone, which often means they’re attracted to you.
  • She fixes her clothing to show off her assets or have her posture show off her assets.

Proximity:

  • She invents reasons to be near you, interact with you, or have isolation with you
  • She says she’s “new in town” and wants someone to show her around. Nine times out of ten it’s because she’s trying to find an excuse to be around you one on one.
  • Leans in while talking to you
  • She’s always “around.” When you arrive at class, when you leave class, at the coffee shop you like, when you’re at an event, etc.
  • She comes up with excuses to hang out together alone, e.g. homework, studying, working on a project, etc. But she spends more time flirting with you than talking about the task at hand. You’re supposed to flirt back. Green flag if you’re not even in the same classes or she does not need help studying.
  • She’s gotten off work and has no reason to stay. You’re the reason she wants to stay. If she’s at work but says when she gets off work–she wants to hang out with you after.
  • She asks you to help her with easy stuff. Key is she’s over-the-top grateful and doesn’t want you to leave.
  • This one blows my mind that some guys miss! If a girl asks to sit next to you somewhere where there are other viable empty places/tables to sit at, she’s interested!
  • A non-best friend girl is with her friends and ditches them to hang out with you
  • She brings her group of friends to stand near your group of friends and keeps looking over
  • After a night out at a bar, nightclub, or party, when she’s ready to leave she asks to split a taxi with you back to her place. And she doesn’t mention sharing a cab with the whole group of friends, just you.
  • If she has a party at her place, at the end of the night she shoos out all the other guests but wants you to stay. Or she’ll come with some excuse that you’re too drunk, your home is too far, weather is too bad for you to drive home now, and she insists you sleep over.
  • She “misses” the last train, bus, etc. so she can sleep over. Or makes excuses not to leave your car.
  • She brings up sleeping arrangements. She doesn’t want you to sleep on the couch (or floor), and insists you share a bed with her.
  • She mentions how she’s home alone tonight, roommate is away, her parents out of town, etc. She wants you to invite yourself over to fool around. Or for you to ask her to come over to your place.

Tries to get your attention:

  • She tosses her hair (to see if you will look).
  • She interrupts your conversation from nearby, or laughs at something you said.
  • She tries to get your attention or at least be apart of the conversation you are having if you are talking to other people.
  • While you’re talking to her group, she is particularly talkative (to get your attention).
  • She’s overly excited or has high energy to get your attention.
  • She kisses another girl in front of you–and wants you to watch. Or invites you into a room to fool around more. How threesomes start. She thinks: if girl-on-girl doesn’t turn him on, he’s gay. Guy thinks: she’s kissing a girl. She’s gay.
